Default Internet cuts out

Im currently using a Netgear MR814 router and every couple of hours the internet to all 4 computers that are running off the router will lose internet. They will still be connected to the router, but will lose connection to the internet... I have to unplug the router and plug it back in to make it work again. Is there any way to fix this? And will buying a new router help?

This could be ISP/Cables company issue. Try another modem/router to make sure.

Evrything is connected VIA Net adapter if yes try changing the Mediatype

If the connection is less then 10mbit then use the option 10mpbs \ HalfDuplex
Located @ Network connections .. Net adapter Properties -> Configure -> Mediatype or Duplexspeed

Download this firmware
ftp://downloads.netgear.com/files/mr814v1_4_14rc4.bin

1. Before you upgrade write down all of your current settings as you will need to enter them in MANUALLY after upgrading your firmware. And use *LAN cabel* only when you upgrade !!!!!!!
2. Open a browser.
3.Access the router (usually http://192.168.0.1).
4. Login to the router (User Name = admin Password = password unless you have changed it).
5. Click Maintenance > Router Upgrade.
6. Click Browse and locate the upgrade file.
7. Click Upload.
8. Wait for the router to reboot.
9. Verify that the router firmware has been upgraded.
10 Reset router to factory defaults.
11. Wait for the router to reboot.
12 Re-enter the settings you noted before upgrading

and youre done!

it`s going to fix your router! it`s your routers firmware, the firmware is the problem.
You probably got an old buggy firmware version that makes the router unstabel.
this update fixes that, and adds more functionality and makes it morte secure.
