Default 1280x800 resolution problems

My LCD,SyncMaster 226BW has 2 input slots,VGA and DVI
My Xbox360 connected trough DVI input, and PC connected trough VGA cable with DVI adapter.

I tried to connect the cable that I got with the monitor from VGA input to VGA output at my video card, but it didn't worked at all, black screen on monitor.
So I managed to use VGA to DVI adapter and connect it to DVI output.
Now,when I turn 1280x800 resolution, monitor itself tries to auto-configure it,and makes the image a bit out of lines and the image itself is a bit blurry..
When I connect monitor with DVI cable, that resolution works perfectly.
It only happens with that specific resolution.
Any ideas?

Try to get a DVI switch or plug the Xbox to the VGA input (you will need a cable for that).

DVI switch is a small device that allows you to plug two DVI cables to it and to switch between them by button. Anyways, you can't plug HDMI to VGA. To plug the Xbox to VGA, you need VGA HD cable.
