There are usb->ps/2 adapters but they do not want always to work, it's a lot of luck if you find any working. I think connecting this mouse via ps/2 is pointless, usb is perfect solution for devices of this kind.

i also tried to google about it,seems like you cannot connect g5 via ps2,but you can connect mx518 via ps2.
I tried it with 518,and still no luck,seems like that old usb>ps2 adapter doesn't work  ((
