my router slow down the launching of games

Hello i just installed a wifi router but when i launch a game while the wifi is connected it take 40seconds for it to launch while when its not connected it launch immediatly i tried ethernet cable connection usb cable connection wifi connection still nothing they all slow down the launching so please help me what i have to do ?

* Try to change the WiFi's broadcast channel.
* Try to update the router's firmware.
* Try to update drivers for the WiFi adapter.
* If you're using USB WiFi adapter, try to plug it to other USB slots.
* Make sure you have proper settings.
* WiFi isn't good for gaming because every small movement inside the room could lag you out.
