Well I agree - Creative drivers sucks.
Also this funny politics that software "Works only for ZS" even when normal Audigy2 is basicly the same card.

Drivers sucks and software is buggy.

But when I bought Live! few years ago I've discovered something new (it was new ): this easy effects changing was really fun.

Audigy2 demo also shows in easy words how this card is diffrent from others.
I know that this is only marketing but it's good that Creative made that.

Well i must say that i got mixed fillings about Creative.

The GOOD felling are connected with times i got 486 DX processor , and was playng on PC SPEAKER , so when i bought Sound Blaster 2.0 (it was MONO card, if you wanted stereo ther was smal module to attach, but i dint have the money) the impact on gameplay was huge (thats noting strange :P ) .

And befor my first PC (386 DX 25 if i remember good, with 4 MB of RAM 120 MB HDD IoI ) i was owner of AMIGA , with haw AUDIO far superior that PC SPEAKER. Then came time of the GRAVIS ULTRA SOUND (this card was strange , but delivered 3d sound.
Next was SB AWE 32 + ram modules , fine card liked it.
When i upgraded my comp the card fit no more , so i used integrated audio AC`97 or somthing like that. I was short on cash so i got almos for free SB Liva value ( whith is one of low market card i think , dosent support 5.1 even).

i Want to get Sound Blaster Audigy 2 ZS OEM And here is thing i want to ask , when im using EAX in games , i got noticable drop of performance , and here the question : is the Audigy series better (LOWER CPU USAGE) ????

OR IS THINS ANOTER "ACCELERATOR" CARD ??????

When I had Pentium 166MHz I bought ESS card on PCI. I've destroyed it :-/ . Earlier I also had GRAVIS with onboard memory.
After few years I bought SBLive Value. It wasn't bad for a quite long time. Until Audigy arrived and it's EAX 3.0. Two years ago Audigy 2 took Live!'s place.
It's still a great card. Performance impact - well it is. Especially with all 64 DirectSound 3D channels enabled in the game. But it's small and really worth it .

The new series isn't so bad, Of course there is bloat which there is always is with Creative. However, I've been very pleased with my XtremeMusic.
