Default Any MS Habu owners or former owners out there?

Well im interested in buying a habu, but i have some concerns.

Firstly, this thing looks like the perfect mouse for me, it looks really comfterable, has the fetures i want and is in a price range i can accept.

Now here is the problem, i have read several reviews of people saying they are having problems with this mouse, one of the ones i keep seeing is that it supposedly has shaudy wiring and disconects frequently, now weather this is a wiring or a driver/firmware issue i dont know but it would be a big problem.

Does anyone that own one or has experience with one know if this is really an issue?

The one im looking at is model 9VV-00002, i dont know if this is the only model of the mouse out there or if it was a revision (hence the 2)

anyways, any insight into this would be greatly appriciated.

I'm habu user and i'm really happy with this mouse. Just after i get it i downloaded from microsoft's site firmware and software update and installed it. I've never had with it problems what you described in your post. The only one problem what i had is in quake III arena, when i press fire button it not always shots, but maybe it is something wrong with my gameplay.... At all this mouse is perfect for semi-pro and pro things ;-)

Does the wire look like its good quality? that seems to be one of the bigger complaints but i think the disconection issue is a firmware/driver one and not a harware/wiring one.

have you had isuses with any other games? or in any aplications with the click not responding?

Also, what is the model number of your mouse?

Thanks spectator

Wire looks like good quality wire, and is really long and for me is more than enough. In my habu is no disconnection issue. Just after when you will get your one habu update its firmware and software.

In any other game i have no issues (crysis, crysis warhead, assassin's creed, bioshock, unreal tournament, unreal tournament 3, prince of persia, urban terror, age of empires, age of empires II, heroes of might and magic I-III... and a lots of others), only arena has this strange but not annoying me much issue.

Number? Hm... Model: 1092. That's described on it this way.

No problem mate :-) I'm glad i can help to you ;-)

thanks for the help guys,

its strange that in that review he say's he doesnt like it for photoshop but yet i have read several reviews from digital artists and animators that said they love it for that purpose and wouldnt trade it for the world

I find it even odder that he recomends a g5 for photoshop when it doesnt have a center mounted laser, its off to the side much like my saitek gm3200, this makes it an extreme pain in the ass to do any precision work, or draw a straight line for that matter, as the pointer will go off on a different axis if you twist the mouse even slightly or dont move it percicley straight

I guess it all depends on what you like, but really really tempted to just buy it lol
