What do you want to upgrade, why?
As for me, as soon as I start my new job (been job-less for 2 months now), will maybe upgrade my CPU to the AMD Deneb Phenom if the prices are reasonable (under 250$ with taxes). And no, I don't give a flying fuck about Nehalem, mainly because I don't give a fuck about Intel.

*Cough*: "thinking about an upgrade?"

Why do you OC? Isn't your computer good enough? Or are you doing it just to see how far you can take your machine?

Ideally you'd get both but if you have to prioritize then the 4870 gets top priority without a doubt. Quote: |

I can't tell you whether it's the OCing itself that's enjoyable or the performance gain or the knowledge that I'm getting more out of what I have.

#6 | | Edelweiss Corporal | Well proble in 3 days i sell my card , But i dont know what to pick .
At the same price range i must chose from 9800 GTX+ 512 or the 4850 512 .
Whit card is faster ??? just cut the normal ATi vs nVidia crap .

But realisticaly, the 9800GTX+ (I'm pretty shure) will run cooler, and I also think it has pretty equal performance compared to the HD4850. Perhaps just get the one that's less expensive.
