I got the X-FI Xtremegamer noob edition. Tossed the included driver CDs aside and downloaded the latest drivers. HOLY S**T, this is awesome! If I had a time machine I'd go back and buy this sooner! Seriously I wasn't expecting it to be this good!

I'm surprised you didn't have to re-install your OS... usually the drivers that work the best with creative cards are the ones that are included on the disk. Glad to see everything worked out good for you.
