Default laptop mem 200-pin ddr to ddr2?

this laptop has the standard 200-pin that all laptops use, now i currently have is two sticks of ddr333 512mbs

the chipset says that it can take ddr2 400 and ddr2 533, and a max mem of 2 gb

i got this info from Everest ultimate edition

so i want to know if i could put 2 1gb sticks of 667(which will run slower at 533, so i don't think it will be a problem)
any one know of any limitations i could run into?

You might want to check with the Crucial Upgrade Memory site here...

http://www.crucial.com/store/listpar...?model=KN8+SLi#

There is a "Scan System" option that will tell you exactly what is 'under the hood'.

Well, all I was going by is the ABIT KN8 SLI showing in your profile. Is that not what you're using? If not, it might be best to give the details when asking for help in the future.
