Describe the sound and its origin.
For example:
Are you hearing the sound from the speakers or directly from the motherboard? (Probably the latter)
Is it a high pitched squeal or a crackling noise?

At any rate for the latest drivers go here and navigate to your motherboard.

Very strange problem.
Does it also squeal if you slowly drag a window across the screen or when you zoom into an image and pan around?

Edit: If you just turn on the speakers and increase the volume (without doing anything on the computer), is there noticeable noise?

You should know that AD1988B drivers are not working well with Vista SP1. You will have to disable the blackhawk feature to use them.
