Default Read/Write Bios from DVD

hi guys,
does anyone of you guys know how to read the bios from a dvd-drive?
and is it possible to flash a dvd-drives bios?

Well most drive manufacturer's have a firmware update application on their website.

yeah, i already found that page, but i am not sure if the flasher is included in those exe files...
i posted in their forum to get more informations...
as i want to flash the bios of a new drive to the bios of an elder one (same specifications!)
GDR-H30N -> GDR-816?B
where ? = 1-4

I see well worth a shot or like Unix said check your drive manufacturer site to see if they have a utility ...

if your having issues and have absolutely no other choice

then flash

only use manufactures bios (i had bad luck with cracked ones)

dont do it just for the fun of it!
