Let's put it this way: If you took the cash money (that you would spend on an Ageia Physix card) to the toilet with you instead, and decided to flush it down the toilet, if you at least used the money to wipe yourself first, you'd get more use from the money than you would from an Ageia Physix card.

Unfortunately we find ourselves once again sitting on the fence when it comes to deciding if the PhysX PPU is a worthwhile piece of hardware or a dud. AGEIA continues to show us just enough in the way of games and performance that we can’t write it off, but we still don’t have the killer app that justifies the PPU either. It once again boils down to a matter of throwing it a new computer along with the kitchen sink, or playing exactly the right combination of games and enjoying exactly the right combination of eye-candy, that the PPU becomes worth it.

Upgrading your CPU to a 6400+ Black Edition and overclokcing it like crazy would most likely cost you less and give you more of a boost.

Switching to a proper OS with proper drivers would give way more of an fps boost than anything. Crap OS + Crap Drivers = Your hard earned cash ->Wasted.
