Default bridging 1Gb and 100Mb network cards

i have two ports i can use in my dorm room, and an extra 100 MBit network card. could i use that to increase bandwidth to my computer? the thing is my built in lan card is 1GBit. would adding this other card cause the total bandwidth to decrease? one of the ports is 1 GBit, while the other is 100 MBit.

You need two 1 Gbit cards to use 1 Gbit connection, one is not enough.

2 cards
1 card = 1GBit
1 card = 100 MBits

2 ports
1 port = 1GBit
