hi all
my brother is buying new gpu and we need advice about that
we cant decide about 3 of them:
nv 8600GT -->Vemil d.o.o. - Opis artikla
nv 7900GS -->Vemil d.o.o. - Opis artikla
ati x1950Pro -->Vemil d.o.o. - Opis artikla
we have seen almost all reviews but still cant decide
so please help about this

p.s.he use old pc with pcie so he will need strong gpu
p.s.2. please post without FAN SHIT and rest of that shit thx

rege thx but he cant buy 8800GTS he dont have that much money (for 8800 price he can buy two of x1950 for CF lol)

i think if you are going to keep the new gpu for a log time and not planing to replace it you should go for the 8600gt, if you are just looking for a gpu but no intending to keep it for a long time then the x1950pro is the bomb

always though that 8600GT is a high-end card at the moment..
but look at its specs...
128 bit ..?
only 2 good things are shader 4 and dx10 ...
8600 is WEAK!
go for radeon

7900gs -> Linux user
x1950pro -> XP user
8600gt -> Vista user

7900gs is best you want your options open.

he need strong but cheap card for gaming (have vista but not using it)
his pc is old amd 3000+, gigabyte 754 mbo and x800GTO
than tell me wich one is faster x1950pro or 7900GS on xp (one more thing is there any way to unlock any of them?????)

For for ATi X1950 pro, i think tis better buy than 7900gs, plus you would not be supporting a company that screws people

dont give a damn about nv but he need some card that will make a diference in his old machine
he intend to buy new pc next year (he is amd fan so what do you think he will get

just got me a x1650 pro
the price was right
im happy with
but since this pc never gets turned off
i noticed with all that cooling i still had to add a fan.she runs a little hot
im kinda worried it is winter now (summer in aus is a killer on pc bits)
I stick fans on everything
this one sits ontop of card and cools the northbridge as well
since then she games no probs and looks great
