Default Viewsonic VX2025 and VX2035 Blues

Do not buy this monitor! Nor do you want to buy the VX2035WM either. I have had to RMA five (5) VX2025WM's and they gave me a VX2035WM as an upgrade and now it will shut off for 3 seconds and come back on. And has funny lines pop up and down the screen. This does not happen all the time but last night I tried to play some FPS games and all I could do was scream!!!

Returns for VX2025:

1) Bad DVI connection
2) 11 dead pixels
3) they sent me a refurbished one that stayed on for only 3 seconds and would shut off!
4) Bad DVI connection again
5) Approx. 30 dead pixels

Returns for VX2035:
1) Power problem

4 out of the last 15 months my monitors have been in Viewsonic's hands.

Tell me how you would feel if you had to RMA the same monitor 7 times?

I want my money back but of course they would rather replace it and if history repeats itself again, they will be doing this every 3 months for another 20 months. I would never be that stupid and through my money away like that but they must have made thousands off my monitor to afford replacing it 7 times so far!

So now I have monitor number 7 coming via express exchange. I would not recommend Viewsonic VX series of monitor to anyone for any reason at any time, EVER!!!

Here is a funny thing, I have a Viewsonic 17 flat CRT in my shed that works flawless. Had it for years, it's what I use when I return my VX.

I now know that it is a temp problem. The specs say max temp is 104° to operate. but my problems start when it reaches 85° in my home. I love to have the doors open in my home and it does get warm.
Yesterday I hook up my Viewsonic A75f 17 inch flat CRT next to my VX2035 and when it got to about 85° in my home the VX2035 started to shut off and the A75f never had a problem. The temps reached 91° in my house before I decided to turn on the A/C. As soon as the temps reached below 85° the VX2035 never shut off again.

OK! As a replacement to my VX2025 and VX2035, they sent me a VX2235! AWESOME! This monitor is SWEET! Thanks Viewsonic!

I must admit, Viewsonic has done me right and I will give them an "A" for customer service because they have gone above and beyond for me. Maybe they had some manufacturing problems at the time of the production of the VX2025, but they truly have treated me right and tried to correct the problem. Any company that will go through what they have and stick behind there products the way they have is OK by me! I will buy Viewsonic again!
