My best advice would be to not overclock your system.As i can see your specs it's enough performant... it's just uses the components much faster...

I agree that overclocking is mostly unnecessary unless you have a slow/outdated system. However, I opted to invest (albeit unenecessarily) in a quad core intel cpu because I new that it was it was overclockable and that I would get more value/ROI if i bought one as i would be able to run it at the same speeds of much more expensive processors.

because of this i really wanted to reach the 3.6 ghz overclock mark as this would reflect the maximum return on my investement. I would have been happy even if it reached 3.4 GHz as that would still a whole gighz faster than the original clock.
