CPU: Intel Q9550 @ 3.4 GHz
GPU: XFX HD 5770 1GB GDDR5
M/B: MSI P45 Neo F (Rev. 1)
RAM: 8 GB Dual Channel DDR2
PSU: 1000W Ultra X3
Default It's always interesting....

...when you're able to do some overclocking but end up with worse benchmark scores than what you get with Default speeds.

Are you talking about CPUs or GPUs? Cause I've never seen a GPU that got worse results with overclocking.

In this case, both. I was able to boost my CPU from 2400 to 2520. Also, the video card from 594/695 to 608/720. But, I'm losing way too many points in the benchmarks....all of the 3DMark 03, 05, 06. I got better scores with the default settings.

It's got me puzzled a bit.

try with seting up a ddr latency(in bios) and grafic card latency to 32 or 64

Yeah, the PSU may just be the stickler. I have a 500W here that has 28A on the 12V Rail.... hmmm......

Get a nice heavy silent modular powerful psu with good fans to boot and try again.

I have the latest BIOS, v 602, released just a few weeks ago. So, as long as there are not still problems with the BIOS, it has to be something else.

This is a Dual Rail PSU I'm using and there have been reported problems with these in the past. The 500W I referred to is Single Rail.
