I think thats true. Im not sure if you can or cannot enable power management when you oc I just disable it because the i7 oc guide told me to. I will have to check my settings later this evening working on my Tractor right now.

I look around on google about ocing with power management enabled didn't really find anything my guess is that you can.In my bios under power management looks like every things on so maybe it still enable idk. I really don't remember do I7 have there won power management under cpu feathers can't remember if the guide I used told me to turn it off or on now. I do have with out vdrop on so maybe that turns the power saving stuff off.

i overclock and leave speedstepping enabled (its required for turbo anyway).

i disable C1E though.

yup C1E is shit i've only ever had 1 CPU out of a dozen that worked right with it on all the rest were crash happy but then maybe if bios writers implemented it properly it wouldn't be such a shit option ...

one of the main reasons for turning off all of the power saving features is to stop massive instantaneous power draw and your PSU going into protection mode

disabling it also stops a high pitched whine.
