One of the best quotes ever. Great movie, great character.

So, these pumps fail often? I didn't know that.

Two pumps failed on me. Luckily, I was around to workaround it.

Shit, those geezers are not that cheap, either. And to think I considered getting into that business. I hate to even think about what would my 4870 look like after 20 minutes without any cooling.

Sizzling is a word that comes to mind.

I don't know much water cooling, but shouldn't they last longer? Aren't the pumps the same as fish tank pumps? Hmmm, I'll probably look into it. Maybe one thing that can help is putting several pumps in parallel, with lower output pressure perhaps. That way if one, or all but one pump fails, it will still be able to cool the computer. Or maybe make the pump the lowest part of the whole water cooling system, less chance of air formation, or a combination of both parallel pumps and lower pump location. Dunno, just a few thoughts.

I know several ppl that are using Laing pumps and they didn't had any trouble with them while using them for the past 1-2 years.

I hope you are not refering to me. I am not a punk ass teen nor am I ignorant when it comes to PCs.

When I say its been a year, I mean continously running for a year. However these are supposed to last up to 5 years or more. I just sent an email to swiftech, we shall see how they handle the matter.

Also watercooling is safe when done correctly and maintained. I am happy with my system, just not failure of the pump.
