I just want to get advice of what a good ratio is between clocks/voltage is
my current values are 669mhz(core) 829mhz (mem)/ 1.214 V
im wondering how much i should set my V up Per 50mhz increase.
almost reminds me of my algebra 2 class :P (i knew i should of paid attention)

but i have my fan pumping 100% all the time, idles around 44C and when playing crysis its high points are 67 68 C
a little warm but i like it

a little warm but i like it | 67-68 C under heavy load is not too warm at all. That's a good range to have in a gaming experience.

temps were idle 45˚C and gaming 75-80˚C.
i replaced this tiny, shitty hunk of thick aluminum with a coolink "gfxchilla" (which btw is much cheaper than it competitors and includes like, 23 ram sinks) and now temps are 10˚ less at idle and an astonishing 25-30˚ less under heavy load.
as you can see i am overclocking substantially without a mod and i have not seen the gpu get over 50˚C since the new cooler but summer may be a slightly different story.
and don't get the idea that it's just fine to run your gfx card at 75˚C!. i don't care if it's within spec, temps like that will shorten the life of the chip for sure... |
