I had a hell of a time fitting it in where it needed to go - had to take the mobo out of the case, the power supply, the video card... pretty much everything out, then hardly was able to get the two connecting prongs over the plastic heatsink connection, but it was worth it and cools much better than my old stock junky heatsink and fan.
It also has a nob to adjust the fan speed for when you want to get into intensive gaming and then can lower the speed during normal Windows/Online browsing.

#2 | | Site Staff | Sorry to bring the bad news but this cooler’s design is extremely poor for CPU cooling. The problem is... most of today’s latest CPUs can’t handle heat like GPU or old CPUs (Especially Athlons). Since this cooler is “baseless” and without aluminum fins, your CPU could die in less then a second in case of fan failure. Other heatsinks are more resistible and could hold off for some time/forever in case of fan failure. Fans tend to fail after some time and it’s very important to have a lot of aluminum fins on CPU coolers. I’d attach second fan to improve its thermal stability. |

#5 | | Spray 'n' Pray ! | | M/B: Gigabyte MA790FX-DQ6 | | | RAM: 8GB OCZ AM2 DDR2-667 | | All thoses designs come from Zalman coolers rofl..And for the fan faillure rofl... it's pretty rare you will saw an fan issue inside 5 years rofl... I had an Nvidia FX5200 and the fan started to fail 1 week ago. It's 6 years i have the GPU and it's not the best fan on the market so think about Zalman , Thermaltake or ultra products...I think when you will put the computer at the garbage the fans will still work rofl. Anyways if you have an good airflow in your computer case even if the CPU fan fails the temp will be less than 70C . |

I already tested it myself on 7800GT and it took it only one second to die. Performance has its price. In case of fan failure, it will reach 150c even with the auto shutdown feature in the BIOS and ten 120m case fans. You're welcomed to test it by yourself. Quote: |

of the die is very close to the temperature of the the heatspreader!

#9 | | Member | | GPU: ATI HD2400 512MB - AGP | | Anyway, this cooler is working out just fine. If it makes any of you feel better, I keep my PC extremely clean and I take everything out of the case every month and go through all the parts and put them back together again. Very clean! |

#10 | | Stuck in "April 1st" | | M/B: Asus Rampage Formula | | | RAM: G.Skill 2x2GB PI Black | | Tower coolers are still the best the only drawback is hardly any airflow hitting the northbridge but there are solutions for that.
