#1 | | Golden Member | | RAM: 4096 Corsair 800 XMS2 | | Overclocking GTX (+ Athlon X2) Is this possible/worth doing? has any one tried it? If so which is the best program to use? I have tried Riva tuner in the past which works well, but i don't know if it will recognize Sli?
Also if i want to overclock my Athlon is it better to use CPU-Z or AMD Overdrive? I have never o/c a CPU before what are best/safest increments to increase clocks by? Thanks!

Increase the FSB speed, decrease the HT link speed and increase memory dividers. Dont touch your voltages just yet. Lock PCI express slot speed at its default. |

...found out that riva tuner 2.0 doesn't support SLi - will keep looking...

#8 | | Professional Member | If you dont mind to install some extra software i think you should try nTune. nTune has some overclocking special features, they should be available to you (you have a SLi board, that generaly means you have a nForce chipset) like automatic overclocking, stability test, and some monitors to your system. One of its disavantages, if I recall correctly, it doesnt save the changes you make. |
