So far i'm not sure if I have been successful, I still can't find BIOS settings for FSB <there is however a BUS settings option which is normally 200.00 mhz> - i can change this - is this what you meant?

Also as expected I can change multiplier values 5 x - 7 x - 9 x - 15 x -What happens if i just change multiplier by itself??

Strange thing is CPU-Z says core clock is around 1015 mhz ??<X2 6000+?> and the value keeps changing as windows processes continue so i cant see what exactly my max clock is...

Good news, I used Ntune for GPU overclock and safely got a stable 600mhz core <default 575> and also memory 980mhz so far -maybe more <default 900> I think in Sli mode both cards are changed exactly the same amount when overclocking?....

hmmm
that mbo have a setup for cpu fsb speed
you only need to find it in bios
and if you set higher fsb and lower multiplier you will get much higher speeds than a lower fsb and higher multiplier but a final mhz will be lower if you change multiplier but cpu will behave better and it will have much higher internal and external Bandwidth

Thanks Gen I knew multiplier x bus speed = core speed but wasn't 100 percent on the relation to FSB. Seems that ratio on my Prescott is fixed. I knew lower multiplier was better too but since mine is fixed can't change that

Core speed is reduced and ram which is calculated by a division of the core speed is also reduced. Since you have a 6000+ you wont need to do this.

In CPU-Z by default: Bus speed(this is actually HT no FSB) * Multiplier = Core speed
and if you left the bios on defaults HT link = bus * 5.

So with a bus of approx 214 you should be able to achieve 15*214 = 3210 GHz. You probably won't need to lower the NB multiplier but you should pay attention to your RAM.

V-Sync, most of the information you want / need are located here in NGOHQ forum, use the search tool I'm sure you'll find what you need. I'm not telling that because Im lazy or whatever you're thinking, people everywhere already discussed enough about this and there are a lot of tips and tweaks written.

Examples:
http://www.ngohq.com/overclocking-co...rclocking.html
(this one should be sticked -- great guide gen.Rage1991hrv)
http://www.ngohq.com/overclocking-co...-question.html
http://www.ngohq.com/overclocking-co...-question.html
http://www.ngohq.com/overclocking-co...i-oc-joke.html
(this one is a good one)

There should be more, good luck.

thanks i am still collecting info about new cards
havent get opportunity to oc 2xxx series, new 3xxx and 8800gt
and in most cases you can get very high clock over volt mods too bad that you cant unlock core anymore

Never mind, you don't really need the screenshots anyway - just trust me when i say that in cpu-z, beneath the information identifying my cpu as an Athlon x2 etc where it says clocks --> core speed = 1075mhz -then 3 secs later 2093mhz then 4 secs later 3175mhz then finally back to 1075mhz <seems to be resting speed> I am not doing anything -just watching!
