With a phenom you can overclock and change the multiplier of each core independently (if I'm not mistaken you can do this with any chipset).
Going to give it a try and post back later.

I've updated main post, try that one. I'm positively sure people are running this program on nforce5s (if screenshots are to be believed). Going to try the older version...
