My radeon was workin really loud so i disassambled it and looked better on its cooler. Cooler is made well, but could be made with copper, not with aluminium, but.... it's only stock cooler :-) So i took a look at thermal paste... It wasn't any crappy thermal paste, that was some good silver thermal paste, but there was less of it. I had somewhere this tiny hypo of silver thermal paste, it was arctic silver 3 ;-) I changed thermal paste and run my pc (assembled of course). I heared my pc more quite, so to be sure i run 3dmark03 (this one i had already installed) and my machine is all time quite :-) But after this little procedure i compared my 3dmark03 results....:

Well, if you read my OP #1, you might have a better understanding of this thread.

But, if it's still not clear to you, yes, it's what we call a 'tongue-in-cheek' post.

It's just for fun.

Was in fun but tongue in cheek or not how is your new card scoring Dyre ? Given your system specs you should have scored 25 - 30, 000 with your x1950

the 2900XT has 512bit memory; mine has only 256bit

tomorrow I'll have the second 3870 card from GeCube and do a CrossFire-X thing
