#1 | | Master of Disaster | | CPU: Phenom II x3 720 @ 3.4 | | Are there any case fans that run directly off of a power supply? Hey guys, i just tossed a radeon x1950 in my system, the cards are huge and as a result there is greater heat build up, there are no more spots on my motherboard to plug in another fan, does anyone know of a fan that runs directly off of the power supply? If so i would greatly appriciate if you could link me to somewhere i could get one.
Thanks guys |

these fans are coming with connector that connects directly to psu |

Blindartist some good suggestions above and you mentioned one I was thinking of myself. The lower intake fan was what I was thinking of mounted near the bottom front of the case if you have room. This will work with your outgoing fan in the PSU at the rear (And any additional I have a chassis mounted CPU fan too) creating better air flow over the mobo and through the cards. Thinking of adding one myself actually

#7 | | Master of Disaster | | CPU: Phenom II x3 720 @ 3.4 | | Well i went to a nearby computer store and got a couple 80mm fans that i managed to find which run off of 4pin psu connectors, i totaly mcguivered it up lol It wasnt easy but i got a 80mm intake mounted in the 51/4" bays which blows directly though over the board and cpu and then theres a 120mm exaust fan at hte back, then i put the second 80mm famn on stilts and angled it upwards at the hard drive and opened a few of the empty slots to give it fresh air, she's running pretty cool now, idles at 30, doesnt seem to breat 45 at full oad, so it should hold me over till i get a proper bay cooler and such, it looks funny but hey it works, as long sa no one james their finger in the front fan lol |
