Default Arctic Cooling Accelero S1

My X1950 Pro ran hot 56c idle and 90c load and it also sounded like a hoover with the standard cooler on it so after looking at the reviews for the S1 i thought i would take the plunge and get one.

Anyway to cut a long story short it is now 36c after an hour or so on idle and i have not been able to make it go over 39c yet (although i presume it will with a long Bioshock session) and of course it is 100% silent thanks to no fan.

The cooler is very big but if it fits your case i cannot find a single reason not to buy one i'll be honest.

It doesnt need fans but thanks for the link i looped 3D Mark for 1 hour and the X1950 Pro was running at 48c, down 40c from the standard cooler, amazing. For the UK readers you can get it for 11 quid from Ebuyer >>> Arctic Cooling Accelero S1 Graphics Card Cooler

I am really happy now as my PC sits only 18 inches from my right ear, the Arctic Cooling Freezer Pro on my X2 is whisper quiet so the loudest thing in my PC is now the single 120mm case fan which sits at the back.

Yeah with a fan it also seems to be double the price of the Accelero S1.
