CPU: Amd64 X2 4600+
GPU: SLI Nvidia 7950GT
M/B: M2N32-SliDeluxe
RAM: 2Gigs DDR2 Kingston667
PSU: 600W
Default Advanced overclocks

So as some may notice I thought i broke my comp in the previous thread....

http://www.ngohq.com/overclocking-co...k-my-comp.html

Anyway, so i am going to run synchronous speeds with cpu and memory.

My motherboard is a m2n32 Sli Deluxe with the most recent bios revision
It gives me alot of overclocking options.

I have a 4600+
Default clock and HTT is 200mhz x 12 @2.4ghz
I overclocked the HTT (FSB) to 240mhz x10 @2.4Ghz
I capped my PCI-E bus speeds at 100 and my hypter transport to 200mhz. I put my
cpu <->NB ht speed from auto (5x) to 4x. 960 (240x4)
I synced my memory by underclocking it from 667 to 533. This is the only way for me to sync my cpu and mem with my current bios options. I cannot increase/decrease my memory frequency using increments of 1 but i can increase from ddr2 400-533-667-800. I chose 533 because of the sync.

533 divided by 2 = 266
2400/266 = 9.0225564
So you round up to the nearest number unless it is a whole number, no decimal. so
2400/10 = 240. My ram speed equals 240 therefore it SYNCS with my cpu fsb!

Now that is half of my overclocking phase. I want to figure out how to increase my PCI-E port clock speed and the correct voltages...

1)Overclocking the PCI-E port will not give you any noticable performance increase. Keep it locked.

2)Keep reducing the CPU voltage while doing stability benchmarks like prime95 or orthos until you find the right one.

3)Asus has a sneaky trick where the actual voltage is a touch higher than the voltage you pick in the bios so watch out for that one.
