#1 | | Advanced Newbie | | CPU: Core 2 Duo E6700 @ 3.5 | | My Super Talent mem is the only one that works? I have an eVGA 680i motherboard. First sticks of mem I had in there were OCZ PC2-8800. One day they stopped working, the letters and numbers in the bios were all corrupted. I thought I would buy some Mushkin Redline with EPP and see how that works. Well, after having it for a few days I'm fed up. The memory can stay stable for several hours or several minutes. Totally random lock-ups. I ran memtest86 for 8 hours and it found no errors. No voltage would keep it stable, at first i thought it was the CPU going bad so i raised the voltage but it still happened. If I increase the voltage on the Mushkin over 2.25v the computer won't even post.
So, now I'm back where I started. Good 'ol Super Talent running smoothly. Since its only DDR2-800 I can't really push it but the latencies are nice and low (even though that doesn't matter much with ddr2, it seems). |

ROLF :P Well try that and sent your feedback |

#5 | | Advanced Newbie | | CPU: Core 2 Duo E6700 @ 3.5 | | This is my second motherboard since I RMA'd the other. This one came with the last bios but I still had problems so I flashed it to the newest. The max voltage on this is 2.4v. I'm starting to think that this chipset is just crap. |

but maybe is because 2.4 v is too high for your mobo Well... try to found an memory compatible for your board and with not an too high voltage and try an flash of bios (the more newer) |

If your considering another motherboard, i would recommend something with the Intel 965P or the 975X, the only thing is you wont be able to run SLI on these boards considering that you have an 8800GTX and that the multi GPU solutions with these chipsets are only Crossfire.

#8 | | Advanced Newbie | | CPU: Core 2 Duo E6700 @ 3.5 | | I've never used the memory voltage at 2.4v. The Super Talent runs fine at 2.1v and the Mushkin defaults to 2.250. I ran the Mushkin at its default timings and lower than its rated speed so I wouldn't think memory voltage would be a problem.
I have an Asus Commando sitting on my table at home. I guess it's time to put that thing back in... |

Well you can wait for new updates but ... well had always in head the support from nvidia are not always good Asus stuff are really quite good so put your asus commando and check the results |
