| If you want a distro that runs games and windows programs you should try mandriva 2007, it includes cedega 5.2.6 that lets you play a good amount of windows game (in this version they allow you to pick pixel and vertex shader 2.0 i dunno if it really works), mandriva comes with Flat Out installed on cedega. If you want to use windows programs you should try using wine, and for office programs CrossOffice (from the same creators of wine). But i still think that OpenSuse 10.2 is the best choice, its free and you can use wine to play some games or run some programs like Warcraft III or winamp (you can buy cedega to play on it too). |

#8 | | Newbie | do NOT use linspire, never. Reason: it SUCKS!
If you want an easy-to-use Linux, get ubuntu, and if you want support for Windows-Apps, install wine/Cedega/Crossover. But NEVER use linspire. |

May the spirit of ubuntu be with you friend!

May the spirit of ubuntu be with you friend! | If he wants to play games online, he'll have no choice but buying it, as they don't work with Cr*cks |
