Yes it should be enough. But you would benefit of 4gigs or ram when using Vista. But you will survive fine with 2.

Vista eats a lot of RAM. So can one use a dual channel kit from another manufacturer for this purpose? For example I add a 2GB dual channel kit from corsair to the 2GB gskill if currently have? Not that I see any reason for doing this, gskill is working perfectly for me.

Yes they will, and what ive heard, the dx9 games will run even better on Vista and Dx10 on a dx10gfx.

Unixlord, sure you could. But that isnt so good. You should always use identical memory sticks. And if you cant do that, atleast use memory with same timings.

Are you sure? Perhaps I wasn't clear. My a1 and b1 slots are occupied and my question is regarding the adjacent a2 and b2 slots.

Only PureDX9 games will get a boost

but there are none out there, most are mixed Dx7/8/9 code.

and Dx7 and 8 games are emulated via Dx9 in vista

No i dont understand whay you are getting at?? What is youre question?? I thought i answered... Or are you just trying to be "smart"??(sarchasticly moronic??)

@gen.Rage1991hrv... sure you can use Vista fine with youre memory. But try to play a memory intensive game on that. If vista is using up half youre memory, well there isnt much to left when playing say BF2?? Its pretty safe to say that 1gb isnt sufficient? Not for a true PC gamer atlest..
