GPU: nVidia GeFORCE Go 7600
M/B: Quanta 30BD
RAM: Kingston 4GB DD2-667
PSU: HP Battery
Default Windows XP wont install

Well, after not having a gfx card for my new computer, I pulled out my R9500PRO from my old comp (P4) and used it. now that I bought a new gfxcard and a mb, I dont need it anymore so I put it back.
So now the comp boots up for like 5minutes, and thats ALOT. it used to do it in about half the time. so I decided I should format it and reinstall winxp.
So I formated the disk and reinstalled the OS, after the part where it copys all necessary files for the installation it boots the comp inorder to boot into the install, but while loading it get jammed and frizzes.
I tried running the installation wizard again but same results. anyideas?

Thanks in advance.

What exactly happens? What is 'while loading it get jammed and frizzes'?

Does the screen just go blank? Does it go multicolored? Does it report billions of errors? Does it give you a BSOD?

Hmm, definitely odd. I would be checking to see if the RAM and video are seated properly. Also check that the RAM is seated in the proper slots for dual channel, maybe even try switching the RAM sticks in the slots.

It could be data improperly copied from the cd to the hdd due to data corruption. Hence the RAM suggestions. Is the drive SATA or IDE? Which slots are you in? Are you overclocking the system, maybe the SATA or video bus is unlocked?

Its a IDE HDD, I dont think its the RAM since I havent touched it.
I only pulled out the HDD and GFXCARD.
Sysytem isnt overclocked.
I dont think data is corrupted, since I tried 3 different CDROM drives..

Ahhh, I thought you had changed both the mobo and video cards. Well, I would try to reset your CMOS using the onboard jumper, and reseat the components anyways (can't hurt). Leave all the RAM settings at auto.

I'm still trying to think of why it isn't installing. The drive is being fully formatted using NTFS as well. Hmm, I'm going to look into it to try to figure this out.
