#12 | | Site Staff | The benefits in x64 are only with games that requires a lot of memory bandwidth and optimized for it. All the current games were optimized for x86 and the developers just recompiled the binaries for x64. It supposes to be same image quality but in FarCry they updated some textures and removed the fog. FarCry x64 suppose to perform much better even with these small texture changes. Microsoft is planning to release both x86 and x64 Vista editions. They should make it into one to force developer’s use x64. Why we need to buy another operation system to receive support for our hardware? They can launch service pack or a big update that add x64 support.
