Default Linux distro?

Well, my friend has decided to open a new rollerblades shop, so he needs a computer to be setup. since he wont spend like 1k nis on buying a legal windows key, I suggest installing linux, ofcourse he agreed, you know, free = good.

Anyway, now I have a dilemma, I dont know which distro to install.
Usually I'd go for Slackware since it's the one I'm most familiar with, but you know how slack is, its not very user friendly and my friend is a total n00b.
Basically I need something with a good X window manager. any suggestions?
RedHat, is it?

Thanks.

Mandrake? never.
SUSE? the rather _good_ edition costs money.

anyother suggestions? so far it's redhat.

If you want a good rpm based server class os I would go Centos, it is based on RHEL, so it can use repositories and programs made for red hat. Though apt-get is sexy so i would consider Ubuntu server install.
