I did run the windows upgrade adviser and there were some things that were not compatible, but most were.
I downloaded driver detective, not sure if it is a good program, I have heard of it through word of mouth, it only shows a problem with the coprocessor, nothing else. Don't know if I should trust this program.
Here is a picture of how my motherboard looks, it is actually the motherboard I have:

For my own purpose, if I had gotten some "incompatibility" notices that referred to devices on my motherboard, I would not have upgraded to Windows 7. I DO have some hardware devices [e.g. flatbed scanner, WEB-camera... which are peripheral devices...] that do not have Drivers for either Vista or Windows 7. I've mentioned previously that I have a 2nd PC with XP Pro on it so that I can use these devices rather than replace them at this time.
But, if I got warnings about devices on my motherboard, I would have backed off doing the OS upgrade...at least until a Service Pack is released that may address those problems OR was able to find drivers for Vista/W7 x64 for it/them.
This could all boil down to a simple problem with nVidia not providing the necessary drivers for the chipset. I wouldn't be one bit shocked or surprised to find out that's the problem.

Will this one work (note that it says international version, and the other one says for beta versions on the same area). There are 2 selections for windows 7 64-bit. I don't know how severe it is but I have noticed absolutely no problems except when I saw this error in the device manager, and the assessment test. All of my peripherals work, and all other drives. I do remember windows detecting nforce as a missing driver so I downloaded it and installed it, I don't think that is for the internet connection( no network card), I think it is the chipset but I am not sure. Still have the problem with the coprocessor. Maybe I should just wait since that is the only problems I can find. Hopefully that site is good because it says international version, I am not sure that it will work. I have never installed chipset drivers, hopefully it is not complicated.
Can't do anything until tomorrow afternoon, eastern time US.

Installing the chipset drivers is usually just a 'walk in the park'. It's not complicated at all. Just run the installation, reboot the PC upon the completion and prompt, and, when you get back into Windows, all should be well. And, hopefully, this will resolve the coprocessor error.
Good luck!

Good luck! | Which version should I download, the "international" or the one for the computer. After looking for a long time online, I noticed that I did uninstall my chipset, ithink atleast. I went into the device manager and uninstalled the display adapter and installed the video card in place of it, hopefully it was reinstalled from the updates that I got through vista since I never had this problem. I was able to rate my computer though, cant care less about that anymore since it is just the rating, there are way more serious problems that can happen. All I am worried about is my chipset for now. If I can find and other drivers this should be no problem?

There are some motherboards on the market that have ATI CHIPSET drivers which are also completely separate from the GRAPHICS drivers. There are also Intel, VIA, SiS, and other chipset drivers for the motherboard. So, try to get this part of the problem clear in your thinking. It's easy to be confused if you're not aware that nVidia has also developed motherboard chipset drivers.
When you say that you uninstalled the "display adapter" -- that's your video card. Removing the display adapter would not uninstall the motherboard chipset drivers.
As for which file to download: Go for the ones that are for the motherboard. If you want, while you're downloading, go ahead and download the International set and put those in a well identified separate folder. If the first ones don't work, uninstall them and try the other one.
Good luck!
P.S. Sorry for such a long delay to respond. I got called into work early and have only been home a few minutes.

The stupidest thing that I forgot to do is actually check the gateway web site. I will check there first since it is the most reliable, and least risky. |

I couldn't find anything for the MS-7399 motherboard that you list in your specs. Perhaps you'll have better luck.

N force the 6 series, and you were right the installation was a breeze. Only problem is the assessment test again, but that is not a big deal. There are no problems in the device manager though. Thanks alot agian. |

Hopefully, you'll be able to complete the Assessment Test soon.
