They just released a new BIOS (FCA), check it out. If it doesn't work, contact Gigabyte and tell them that memory remapping is not working well on Windows 7 64-bit. They need to provide BIOS update to solve this issue.

I had the same issue with Vista, so I pulled one chip and moved it to my HTPC and installed Vista 32-bit. I don't see the benefits of 64-bit yet, even simple stuff like Adobe Flash doesn't support 64-bit. I guess Windows 7 is going to be the same, Microsoft has to pull the plug on 32-bit and force everyone to focus on 64-bit.

Enter the BIOS and press Ctrl + F1 and see if you get to the "advanced" part of the BIOS, it might be there.

Ok, i made an experiment, here i'm going to describe how i made it, step by step.

Reinstalled windows 7 build 7057 x64.

1st run

On 1st run of fresh installation of windows 7 build 7057 x64 detects (and probably uses) 4GB of ram.

Asessment have been done. RAM get 7.0 points.

Disabled UAC.

Sagem F@st 800/840 driver 4.8 have been installed, internet run.

Installed updates.

System still detects (and probably uses) 4GB of ram. Restart.

2nd run

System run normal, still is detecting and probably using 4GB of ram.

Installed: opera v9.64, Adobe AIR, Flash Player, Shockwave Player, SVG Viewer, Reader, Miranda v0.7.17, Java x32, 7-zip 4.65 x64, ATI Catalyst 9.3 for Windows 7 x64.

System still detects (and probably uses) 4GB of ram. Restart.

3rd run

System run normal, still is detecting and probably using 4GB of ram.

Installed:
OpenOffice.org 3, GIMP 2.6.5, Combined Community Codec Pack, Real Alternative, QuickTime Player, foobar2000, nero 8.

System still detects (and probably uses) 4GB of ram. Restart.

4th run

System run normal, still is detecting and probably using 4GB of ram.

Installed:
bittyrant, allplayer, OpenAL, atiTrayTools.

Advanced boot options set to use both cores of cpu and whole 4GB of ram.

System still detects (and probably uses) 4GB of ram. Restart.

5th run

System run without problems, detects 4GB and uses 3,25GB of ram.

Computer properties show message: "Your windows experience index needs to be refreshed"

Re-runed assessment. Memory get 5.9 points.

In msconfig disabled using both cores and 4GB of memory in advanced boot options.

Restart.

6th run

System run without problems, 4GB of memory detected and probably in use!!!!

Computer properties show message: "Your windows experience index needs to be refreshed"

Re-runed assessment. Memory get 7.0 points.

Findings

Computers are weird machines.

Experiment described in details u can download in attachment.

P.S.
