#1 | | Newbie | | GPU: ATI Radeon HD2400Pro | | notepad message after logging on. I hope you can assist in a problem im having, when i log on and the desktop loads up i get a notepad message, "the filename, directory name or volume label syntax is incorrect." I have tried system restore without any luck. Im running vista home premium sp1. I hope you can help in finding a solution to this problem please.i only have four programs in start up and none of them are the culprit, i think its a bit more technical than that, ive done several scans (norton 2009, spyware doctor, malwarebytes, a-squared and spybot s&d ). so i dont know, maybe a corrupt registry entry of some sort, (ive also ran a scan with regcure)..?? hoping someone had come across this sort of thing and knew a fix for it..! |

#9 | | Newbie | | GPU: ATI Radeon HD2400Pro | | Managed to sort it out, my user account had become corrupted so i opened a new user account and transfered my files and settings using "windows easy transfer" utility, been using the new account with no problems for past few days to make sure everything was ok then deleted the old user account. |
