Default Enabling different WDDM drivers on Vista x64 (Physx)

I can use two different VGA cards under Windows XP so I can use a Radeon 4870 as a 3D renderer and a 8500GT as a Physx card. But I can not do it on Vista.

I rode WDDM documentation and found that only 1 WDDM or endless number of XPDMs are allowed. 1 WDDM + 1 XPDM or two WDDMs are disabled. But my 4870 can not work with XP drivers (8500GT can run on Vista with XP drivers).

Is there any way to disable this limitation and run two different VGA drivers at the same time on Vista? Or it is absolutely inpossible with WDDM structure?

Here is some screenshot if you do not believe me:

It is phisically possible. But Vista is stupid. MS wrote that they disable different drivers because they got a lot of error report... Shit...

No, there isn't any workaround for it.

If I were to make a list of things I can do in XP that can't be done in vista you'd faint.

I tryed to modify the Device Class ID in nv_disp.inf and I removed all OpenGL and DirectX entries (only CUDA and pure hardware driver dlls left). 8500GT sits next to my Audigy4 in device manager but it give me the same error code.

If I did not find a workaround with google and everybody say that it won't work then it won't work...

Regeneration - Will it be possible with your CUDA-wrapper to use a secundary Radeon VGA as a Physx card? Or will it work only with one card (and may be with active croffire systems)?

I am out of ideas.
What is the situation with Windows 7 milestone/pre-alpha builds? Do they allow different WDDMs?
And I forgot about Severs 2008. It uses the same kernel and driver modell but it may have less restrictions...
If someone know windows 7.0 or server2008 well then tell me what the situation is with them...

This won't work. Forceware and Catalyst drivers all have digital signatures. This is not a problem. But I tryed to boot with this option...

I learned that Windows Server 2008 has the same limitation but Windows 7.0 will allow different drivers again. I may try to install a leaked build to chech this.

Ok. Here is my new screenshots. I said I will prove that we can run two different WDDM drivers at the same time if we really want it.

These are not fakes. But there is a relatively big problem with them. No, not photoshop, these are real, untached screenshots (captured with printscreen and saved with paint). Benchmark ran with hardware accelerated Physx and different WDDM drivers. I let you tip about the problem.

Hi, I want to know how you did that!

I was trying to use my Radeon HD4850 with a Geforce 8400GS for physx but the two cards were in conflict...

Can you write here how I do that?

Thanks!!
