Vista isn't that bad. It took a little bit of finesse to get it to play nice with 4GB of RAM (x64), but after an hour or so, all is well and I haven't had one crash all week. For what it's worth, I get roughly 145-160 FPS in WoW (select locations).

There's no way I'd pay $400 for an OS. The Ultimate doesn't even include enough to make it worth the $300 plus difference from what I paid for Home Premium OEM. My cost was $79.99 plus tax.

i ordered a 2 dell laptops one for my friend and one for other buyer so i get one
vista ultimate 32bit for free lol
any way friend could not pay instantly so he gave me a vista LOL
(he payd me after 2months and when i ask him about vista he told me to keep it lol so i dont give a damn how much dose it cost and i also get x64 ultimate from my parts provider i sold that shit for 100€)

If your Bro wants to play UT3 with any AA he'll have to be using Vista/DX10. As for those waiting for DX10 to make it to XP... Try wishing in one hand and sh!ting in the other and see with one fills up first.

It might be better to set your sites on Windows 7, and hope you can hold out.

Also, you can find the OEM version of Ultimate (either x64 or x86) for $180. Though it's still not really worth it IMO. I only use it because M$ sent me a free copy... And, I keep an older system with XP on it for all those things that Vista refuses to do.
