Actually that is not true. You can install Windows XP on a pre-existing Windows Vista OS.
I do not want to format the HD unless I really need to hence the reason for installing Xp with Vista.

lumo, hat mit "altklug" nichts zu tun. Ich hatte nur mal einen Raid 0 Verbund. Najo...und die Platten sind dann abgeraucht. Wenn jemand Raid machen möchte...und auch Performance will, dann bleibt eigentlich nur Raid 0+1 oder besser noch Raid 5 (bloß ein guter Raid 5 Controller kostet richtig Asche).

Beleidigen brauchste mich auch nicht. Zeigt nur deine Einstellung zu anderen. Auf das Niveau lasse ich mich nicht runter. Sollen die anderen das beurteilen.
