Default First DDR3 For Desktops To Come From Super Talent

Memory manufacturer Super Talent partners up with Samsung for some of the first DDR3



Super Talent sends us word that it has completed construction of its first DDR3 prototype modules and will be the first to market for commercial modules. As a member of JEDEC, Super Talent is devoting engineers and time to defining and finalizing the DDR3 specifications.

It's gonna be mega expensive with minimum benefit for gaming/desktop use upon release.

actually DDR3 has lower timings and voltage, and that means better overclocking

yes and while it is still a 240 pin config it will require a new MB cause of the placement of the grovr being diffenent than DDR2

Well the clocks are going to be pretty high anyway. Unless you use some seriously bandwidth intensive programs you won't see huge gains from increasing the clock. Lower voltage is always good but not that good. DDR3 should be the last thing to worry about .
