Then again I have a real "Liberal Arts" education, and that makes me atypical. However, I do have to say that this is about typical of residents of New York City, and Los Angeles, were it seems to have been shot. Anywhere you have a large population is bound to have a greater number of ignorant people.
My question would be: Has this been edited to show only those who are truely clueless? Even if they didn't edit it, the number of people they showed being interviewed would not constitute a statistically representative sample. So this only shows what we should all recognize as being true. Some People are just plain stupid! It doesn't matter where they're from... |

i would have to agree, being American does not make you stupid, the things that makes your stupid are your decisions, your parents, mind altering drugs, your upbringing, and your schooling. (these are some general things i found to be true.)
Stupid people need to learn fast, or they will get everyone else killed from global warming, nuclear holocaust or overpopulation.
ps. i am American, but you'll never see me answering one of those questions with a dumb response.
that was still funny though

some one who lumps people together in the same category based on where they live, how they live, or even when they live are very lazy and ignorant. generalizations only leads to a furthering of rifts between cultures, and makes small animosities grow into larger fears and hatred.
just look at the conflict between Israeli and the rest of the middle east. they have been at each others throats because Israeli holds holy places for all three major religions there. if they realized that not everyone wants the whole place to themselves, they would try to work out some agreement that would benefit everyone. but, extremists have to use small differences to turn everyone on each other.
so don't make such vast generalizations about all americans as i said before there are plenty of reasons for becomes "stupid" such as Quote: |
