Nice read Unix . Its like that , back in the days we were copying from firends tape to tape , then CD`s to tapes , then CD`s to CD`s , then came internet with all stuff in it. And to be honest if i wont get music free im not gonna go and buy it . Well the only exeption are albums recorded by people i know ( i remember posting some of them back some time now ).

PS. By the way i dont use P2P , have large number of good friends who send me stuff i need.

The music industry has been using a flawed business model since 1999 as times changed they didnt, there flogging a dead horse. There not needed anymore you dont need them to make or produce or even sell/distribute CD's, this can all be done from the comfort of your own home now.

I do find that article strange using 5 yr old data from one of the smallest P2P networks there was OpenNap, this was born out of the source code Shawn Fanning (Napster creator) used to run servers on he released it on the net just before being dragged into US court and Napster was shutdown.
