nice scores I am playing with an ATI 4870 atm and reached over 16k with a single GPU and an overclocked Q6600 @ 3.2GHz

I know your 4870 should whip my 3870 all to pieces. But, I'm curious as to what allows your CPU to get almost twice the score as my own E6700? I'm running it at 3.2 GHz and my system is very, very stable. I'm quite certain I could push this CPU even a lot further....but, can't afford to replace it if I push too hard.

Other than you using Vista 64-bit, and me using Vista 32-bit, what would you suggest I look at...if anything?

Yup, that's a fact. Can't play it though.

It's true. 3dMark is a program that can effectiveley use the 4 cores. It's a shame that most games can't handle them properly. 'Bout a month ago, I came sooo close from buying a Phenom 9650 but then decided to scrap that idea, I'd rather tough out what I have now and wait for the Deneb CPUs.

For some dumb reason I couldn't resist running this benchmark again (maybe I wanted to compare to my earlier results). Anyway I'm not done with this yet.

Well, my personal highest score to date is now 11519. Still not sure why it's so sluggish compared to what others are getting.
