There are troubled times ahead. Through one bold move, Microsoft has decided that it will not support, the already too “old” DirectX 9, not to mention DirectX 8 or any of the previous versions. But... it appears to be some logic hidden somewhere.

Dropping support for dx 9 and older sounds like a good move. Constantly keeping things backwards compatible only make thing complicated, slower and more error prone.

I agree with you Elzooi , but i also agree that it will clean our wallets once again.

Don`t know about that, a lot of recent games and even "new" games wont work
anymore, but then again im sure some one will make a directx warpper
