tell me what you think of the following.
yes i am writing a neon genesis fanfic,.. and i have started it from about the middle,.. also, im updating it all the time, and this segment is possible chapter 2 /3 of episode 1... i wanted to get asuka and shinji together early so we can explore thier relationship at an early start
this continues on where the movies left off.. and i will be creating a pilot fic/episode to tie off the original series ender,... when everyone is clapping, shinji decides NO, this is still not real, i don't want this, i want reality, even if it means being scared and hurt again blah blah blah, you all seem creative people. so i want you all on my design team, i want to eventually translate this all to japanese and submit it to Gainax for production.

Episode 2
All to myself. Part 2

(the following is an introduction to this new season and when i finally write part 1 it'll be at the top of every new episode)
its been 2 years since third impact failed, slowly the world has become full of people and cities again. Shinji and Asuka are now 16, and thier lives have changed alot, both have matured into young adults and are now starting to notice each other alot more...,but both also still harbour old fears and are still scared to let the other know how they feel, what does this world have in store for the 2 of them.
mankind, believes the angels truly are defeated... well aren't they in for a surprise,
Scene: Streets of New Tokyo, Shinji and Asuka are on thier way home from school, after a boring day of hearing thier teacher lecture about WW2, when they run into a couple of hoons.
one of the hoons wolf whistles at Asuka, and makes a rude remark about her.
"damn, wouldn't mind getting a bit of tail from that one, she looks like she can really ride em"
"yeah, now thats what im talking about, hey sexy, how bout you come and have a good time with me and axel here"
the other hoon sharply replies.
"BAKA, who the hell do you think you are to talk about me like that!"
Asuka, yells at the hoon in shock.
"Shinji, get back here and teach them some respect or something will ya"
She yells to Shinji.
Shinji looks up from the pavement and turns back to see her calling him back to defend her.
"I don't want any trouble, Asuka,.. come on lets go"
Asuka flashes a look that could kill and Shinji grimaces.
"WHAT!!!!. You won't stand up for me and defend my honour, what kind of a man are you!. Fine, i'll deal with this myself"
Seconds later 2 loud crunches are heard and the 2 hoons are seen holding thier crotches lieing on the ground groaning loudly.
"Hmmph"
Asuka exclaims as she catches up to Shinji giving him one of her deadly 'You wait till we are home looks'.
"WHY LOOK AT ME LIKE THAT FOR Asuka, its not like you can't handle it yourself"
Shinji yelled in exasperation.
"THATSNOTTHEPOINT"
she quickly snapped at him.
"i would've thought that with all thats happened you would've grown some balls"
Asuka snapped, whacking him in the face.
they soon arrived at home, Asuka still angry at Shinji for not stepping up
Scene: Misatos Apartment, after school,
Shinji and Asuka just arriving in the front door, Asuka clearly still enraged by the encounter shes just had with 2 older boys on the way home
Asuka flashed a look of heated anger at the boy for not sticking up for her when the 2 hoons starting insulting her
"your nothing but a gutless little mama's boy without a mama to run and cry to
Shinji turned around, a look of pure rage on his face.
"what did you just say"
"i said your a gutless little mama's boy without a mama to run and cry to"
Asuka repeats, not noticing the look on his face.
Shinji grabs her shoulders and pushes up her against a wall.
"how dare you, HOW FUCKING DARE YOU, you little bitch, you go on about me not knowing anything and not understanding you, well maybe your wrong,.. maybe i do understand you, WE BOTH lost our mothers, and both our fathers want nothing to do with us, I MAY run away, from things instead of sticking around to get hurt, but AT least i don't purposely treat people like shit, so as to push them away!, In the end we are exactly alike, and i do understand, and i hate the way you treat me, why do you treat ME like this, what did i ever do to you, to deserve this Asuka"
Asuka looks at him in anger and is about to tell Shinji to get his hands off her , when she finally notices the anger on his face, and it terrifies her because shes never seen him like this.
"LET ME GO Shinji"
she yells at him, finally reacting, before struggling out from his grasp and attempting to run away to her room, but Shinji counters this and grabs her wrist pulling her back to him, moving her in close to him.
"I know exactly why you treat me like this, and i only asked so you could admit it to yourself, its the same reason why i feel it difficult to be around you sometimes."
Asuka stops struggling and looks up into Shinjis eyes as he says this, only to see her own reflection in the deep blue of his eyes, his intense gaze upon her.
*What do you mean Shinji?, what are you saying, she thought to herself*
another voice appears in her head
*you know what he means Asuka, you have just been too afraid to admit it yourself, you love him, deep down you love this baka, hes your baka, and always has been, do you not see how he looks at you?*
*ME!!!, love this baka,.. ME THE GREAT SECOND CHILD, the great Asuka Langley Sohryu, HAHAHA, no way,...*
*why do you deny the inevitable truth, i am you, you are me, we both know how you feel deep down, so stop denying it, even he can tell*
*but i don't need anyone, have to be able to look after myself,.. if i can't i am no longer me*
*NO, you are always you, whether you accept help or not, whether you let someone love you,.. and you let yourself love someone, nothing can stop you from being you, only Shinji knows the true you, and deep down you know you both need each other*

*JUST ASK, stop being afraid!!!, you are THE GREAT ASUKA LANGLEY SOHRYU afterall*
*Your right, why am i being afraid of this, but why are you only showing up now*
*coz i decided i'd had enough of you losing all the best chances in life to be truly happy and i saw an opportunity for you to score a little happiness, now Apologise to him for what you sed and tell him how you feel*
*But!*
*JUST DO IT!, WHAT?, ARE YOU TO SCARED TO?*
*ME.. NEVER!*
Asuka looks down at the floor with what seemed to be an expression of sorrow on her face... not like her at all.
"Shinji?"
Shinji snaps out of his rage as she speaks to him in a soft subdued tone.
"erm, yes Asuka?"
Asuka looks up into Shinjis face with a look of new found determination yet still tormented.
"Shinji-kun, i have one question to ask, and this will determine whether i will be staying here any longer"
Shinji looks at her wondering what it is she wishes to say and why she has a look of regret and angst upon her beautiful face.
*Damnit Shinji, stop thinking like that, you know shes out of your league*
"um.. err... ok Asuka.. go ahead"
Asuka looks his face over trying to find the words she wants to say, but in the end, she just says it as she thinks it..
"Do you love me Shinji?, i mean, could you ever forgive the way i've acted and treated you?"
She looks him over waiting for a response.
"Will you ever leave me?"
she presses further.
Shinji develops a look of shock across his face, and just freezes on the spot trying to find an answer.
"i...i...er.."
Asuka smiles a little bit.
*Oh man,.. she smiles so beatifully,.. her lips, man i wish she was mine*
Shinji, thinks over, before mentally slapping himself
*Like it matters.. she's probably only messing with me again*
Shinji finally looks into her eyes and answers.
"i don't know Asuka"
Tears begin to form in her beautiful blue eyes, and Shinji grabs at her hand before she gets away, then when she struggles to break free of his grip she says in despair.
"FINE BAKA, it doesn't matter if you say it or not, if i can't have you all to myself, then i don't want you at all, now lemme go"
she finally shakes his grip off as Shinji attempts to grasp at what her words meant.
"Asuka!. Asuka wait,"
but its too late. shes already in her room, making alot of noise.
"Asuka?,"
Shinji murmurs.. then goes to his room, closes his door and lays back on his bed, before putting his headphones on and listening to his sdat.
*what did she mean*
Shinji thinks to himself
*what did she mean by if 'i can't have you all to myself, then i don't want you at all',.. she's said that before... when Rei started third impact,.. but i didn't understand what she meant then, and i still don't now.*
Shinji is lost in thought when all of a sudden foot steps are heard passing by, and the front door opening and closing.
He then gets off his bed, turning off his Sdat and opens his door.
"Asuka?"
Shinji calls as he pokes his head out of his room, there is of course.. no answer.
he walks slowly down to her door, and stops outside, before knocking, <tap tap tap>.
"Asuka?, are you there, im sorry i upset you, can i come in?"
He says,.. still not understanding how he upset her in the first place.
no answer is heard, so Shinji slides the door open to find the room empty with clothes strewn across the floor, and her bag missing.
He closes the door, and looks at the floor, wondering what this could all mean, before walking back to his own room, closing his door and laying back on the bed.
Scene: New Tokyo City - Hikari's appartment complex
Asuka is walking towards her friend Hikari's appartment, thinking about everything that just transpired.
*I don't need him, i don't need him, i don't need him, i don't need him*
she repeats over and over in her head trying to believe it herself.
*But you do need him Asuka, don't you get that, and you shocked the heck out of him, how did you expect him to react.*
*Shutup, I DON'T NEED HIM*
she screams quietly to herself.
Arriving at Hikari's, she knocks on the door, which a cheerful Hikari soon opens.
The cheer quickly leaves Hikari's face, as she sees the red teary eyed face of Asuka.
"come on in asuka, i'll make up a bed for you in my room"
"Thanks Hikari"
Asuka mumbled back.
Scene: Misato's apartment
in the meanwhile, Misato has just arrived home
"Shinji, Asuka, im home"
no answer
*hmm,.. this is odd.. are those two fighting again*
she walks towards shinjis room, and opens the door looking in to find shinji has actually fallen asleep listening to his sdat....
*...hmm wierd... hes normally cooking dinner... it must've been a big fight...*
she walked further down the hall, and peared into Asuka's room, to find clothes everywhere,...
*hmm... she must have gone to Hikari's... i'll call and see how she is*
Misato walks to her bedroom, and removes her highheels, before picking up the phone and dialing Hikari's number
"Hello, Hikari?, its Misato,.. how is she"
Scene: Hikari's appartment.
"Oh, she's pretty upset Misato,... its not even anger..its like shes been crushed, whatever happened it must've been bad,... no she won't talk about it,.. yeah, i'll keep an eye on her, ok Misato, see you later"
Hikari puts the phone down and sighs loudly.
*poor Asuka... i wonder what happened this time*
Scene: Back at Misato's apartment.
Shinji emerged from his room.
"Hi Misato"
Misato looked up from the magazine shes reading.
"oh hi shinji,.. you and Asuka have a big fight hey?, shes gone to Hikari's, Hikari sez shes pretty upset,.. and not in the usual way"
Shinji looks like a freight train just ran over his cat...and sighs.
"i don't want to talk about it, its all my fault anyway"
Misato looks at him quizzically.
"oh,.. really.. how do you figure that?, did she finally tell you she likes you and you just rejected her thinking she was joking or something."
Shinji looks at her confused.
"Wha??, What do you mean,.. SHE LIKES ME??"
Misato laughs at him and says.
"Well geez idiot,.. its been pretty obvious for months now, haven't you noticed the way shes been acting sometimes, like how shes been asking you to do stuff for her that shed usually just do herself?!"
Shinji looked shocked.
"AH CRAP!
he exclaimed.
"SHE WASN'T JUST TRYING TO FOOL ME!, i thought it was just a joke or something, like she was messing with my head, like usual, she asked me if i loved her and i just said 'I don't know', IT IS MY FAULT"
Misato quickly replied.
"well, theres only one thing you can do. Stop sitting there feeling sorry for yourself and go and talk to her, geez,. i know you really like her as well, i've noticed the way you've been looking at her lately."
Shinji, yet again, looked shocked and blushed crimson.
"WHA???"
Misato snickered at him.
"You idiot.. its not hard, to see, that you both need each other, looking back, i can remember who the first person was that you had brought back from Instrumentality."
"Yeah but that was different,.. if i hadn't have brought her back, she wouldn't have been able to come back, because she was dead before Third Impact started, the Eva-Series, tore her eva and her to bits remember!"
he exclaimed
"Yes, but you decided to bring her back with you, which shows me that she does mean something to you, you could've just left her dead"
she retorted, realising that she had just won.
"Well, i...i..."
Shinji looked away, realising that Misato had just won, and that she was spot on about his feelings"
"She understands that it was you that brought her back as well Shinji,.. which is what changed her feelings towards you, she started trusting you a bit more since then, because you gave her a new shot at life after everything that happened between you."
Misato said looking straight at Shinji.
"I know,.. i know why i brought her back,.. if there was anyone i wanted to spend the end of days with, it would be her,.. even if she was calling me names and stuff"
Shinji looked at Misato, finally revealing all.
"And i know what i have to do, i have to tell her how i feel, and bring her back with me again!. and your wrong Misato, I LOVE HER!"
Shinji exclaimed loudly.
Misato was in the process of taking a swig of her beer, and choked as Shinji exclaimed that coughing and spitting out most of what she had in her mouth.
"WHAT THE..."
But Shinji was already walking away.
Shinji walked to his room and put on his jacket, and picked up his wallet, he had saved almost 120,000YEN, Eva pilots didn't get paid much, even though he still had no Eva to pilot,.. it was still orbiting earth, all retrieval attempts had so far failed.
*that would be plenty*
he thought to himself.
Scene : Streets of New Tokyo
He ran down to the local flower shop before it closed and picked up a bouquet of 12 red roses, and then rushed further to the chocolate store, where he picked up a box of german chocolates (the ones Asuka liked) in a heart shaped box. then he started walking to Hikari's apartment.
*Now im all set*
he thought to himself*
Scene: Hikari's Apartment.
"Oh.. hes on his way here now?, WHAT, HE SAID THAT, hmm,.. i better let him in then... the sooner these to are an item the better he he"
Hikari hangs up the phone.
*I hope he can get through to her*
she thinks to herself.
<TAP TAP TAP>
A knock is heard on the door
*That must be him*
Hikari thinks to herself.
She walks over to the door and opens it letting shinji in before saying.
"I hope you can get through to her"
"I'm not leaving without her"
Shinji replied with a determined look on his face.
"Shes in my room, i'll stay out of your way"
said Hikari.
"Thanks Hikari"
Shinji walks towards Hikari's room, before opening the door and stepping in,.. The room is dark with only the television providing light.
Shinji walks over to the bed and sits on the edge, where Asuka lays facing away from him.
"I told you, i don't wanna talk Hikari"
she mumbled.
"Its not Hikari, Asuka..,"
He whispered to her.
"Shinji?, what do you want?, GET OUT OF HERE, you've already said enough"
she said with a trembling voice, as if she wanted to cry.
"Just listen ok, i didn't know you were serious, i thought you were just messing with my head"
he responded huskily,.. almost breaking down himself.
"I SAID GET OUT!!"
Asuka screamed at him, getting up off the bed amd slapped him hard across the face, but shinji didn't even flinch, he just sat there looking at her.
"Why are you just sitting there,.. you've already said what you had to say, now go, wasn't it enough that you totally broke me, do you have to torment me further?"
she says, her eyes filling with tears, one slowly sliding down her cheek.
"Damnit BAKA, JUST GO, I DON'T WANT YOU HERE NOW"
she starts hitting against Shinji's chest, and he grasped her hands and held them tight.
she struggles against his grip.
"LET ME GO BAKA. I DON'T WANT YOU HERE ANYMORE, STOP TORMENTING Mmmmm...."
Before Asuka can finish her sentence and break free, Shinji pulls her close to him, and leans his face close to hers and kisses her softly, but with a passion so fierce and intense that Asuka quickly stops struggling and responds to his kiss with her own back.
She relaxs her whole body and falls deep into his arms. the kiss seems to go for eternity until Shinji finally breaks it off, Asuka resting in his arms her eyes closed and her lips still savouring the kiss that she had just shared with the boy she had always denied her passion for
"yes Asuka Langley Sohryu, i do believe i love you."
Shinji whispered softly in her ear.
Asuka opened her eyes finally and whisped back.
"Shinji?"
Shinji acknowledged her with a whisper of his own.
"Asuka?"
Asuka replies with a bit of a mischievious glint in her eye.
"Your such a baka"
Shinji smiles smugly before replying.
"but im your baka right?
Asuka rolls her eyes before confirming.
"yes Shinji, you are MY baka"
Shinji puts his arms around her and Asuka snuggles into his embrace, not wanting to ever have to leave it, then Shinji finally broke the silence.
"are you hungry Asuka?" |
