#1 | | Golden Member | Told again to fuck off Well, these days I have been feeling a bit down and I'm still trying to figure out the source of my gloominess. In short lines, here is what happened.
I have been wearing braces for years (since I started wearing them at the age of 22, the process takes a LOT longer) and now I'm still on my retainer (or whatever it's called). Since I was living and studying in the capital at the time, for each checkup now I have to travel for some 300km (200 miles). This time around, I was late for my checkup, some 4 months late (1). I had numerous occasions to go in these 4 months, but I didn't (2). Finally, I get there (Wednesday 10 days ago) and the doc says I need a new retainer, but he must make the cast and the retainer in the same day. Then, out of the blue, I recall some conversation from a while back and remember that my colleagues are coming to the city on Tuesday (three days ago) so I decided to once again go with them (3) to the capital.
On the trip there, my colleague informs me that we'll be taking some chick back with us (ah, the plot thickens). I didn't think much of it at the time, we did all we had to do for that day and picked her up. We started talking and I find her very interesting. I don't fall easily for chicks and none of those I liked could be considered babes. They look "average", it's their character that attracts me. It was the same with this one. She's a pleasant conversationalist, we like the same kind of music, we share some viewpoints on life.
Obviously, the next day I give here a call and ask her out or something. And here is where the title sets in. She told me to fuck off. Well, in a pleasant manner. There was a lot of background noise when I called her and she was obviously in a bar. She seemed distracted. I asked her and she told me that she's fucked up, she just came from the doctor and she's been trying to order a drink for half an hour. She also said that it just was the wrong moment and she would take a rain check on my proposal. I told her I understand (while I do not), said bye and hanged up. While this seems like a typical "fuck off and leave me alone" I remember seeing loads of medicines in her purse while we were on the road.
Now, when you consider points 1, 2 and 3 (there are more, but I wanted to keep things short) it's obvious I should have not been in that car on that day. It was a pure chance I met her. If any of 30 things happened I wouldn't have met her. And since you get only so many chances, it feels shitty she blew me off. It feels even worse if she might be ill or something. So I prefer she was bullshitting me and she just plain doesn't like me, a lot better then being sick.
This is so fucked up. Thanks for reading. Really.

And as for the chick, if she`s on a lot of "medicine" id stay far away, one could understand it if she had diabetes or something like that, but she sounds like a hypocondriac to me and that is definitly not dating material, just a lot of naging bullshit. Belive me i dated such a girl once, i wanted to sow my ears shut at the end of the week. (her problem was from the shoulders and up if you get my meaning)
Just my 5 cents on the matter.

Or would you answer, 'Never have I heard anything more divine?" |

#3 | | Golden Member | Well, my teeth were really skewed and some were getting ready to fall out in a few years time. There was nothing wrong with development, the problem occurred when all four of my teeth of wisdom (not sure how you call them) came out in less then 18 months. Then everything got fucked up, but I'm OK now and my teeth are rock solid. I have seen even older people wearing them, there are many reasons one might need such a device.
On the other point, I really don't think she's a hypochondriac. Obviously, I don't know her that well, but I got the impression she has a very solid character (the reason I'm became interested in her, after all) and I'm usually never wrong on this account.
Thanks for your input.

#4 | | Site Staff | Just call her and invite her to a drink. Don’t make it sound like its a big deal (going out)... just a drink. And even if she refuses – insist on it. If it doesn’t help, change the subject and ask her “What’s up”, like you are talking to one of your friends.

#6 | | Site Staff | Take in mind that in this age everyone is taking pills – especially females. It’s better to try out and fail (or bail) rather than giving up in the beginning. Check her out… you can bail out at any given time. |

I'd imagine writing would be an even bigger problem.
