I got my Internet connection repaired and now I'm getting some mighty fast downloads! Found out the reason for the slowdown was a bad CAT5 cable. Replaced that as well as had a service tech out to replace some worn cable wire to the house that look like some pest had been chewing on it.

BTW, you can click on the image above and do your own test, too.

my isp told me that my 100mbit router has only a 10mbit internet interface (which wasnt correct)
therefore i bought a new router... gigabit.
when i called em cause my speed was still bad, they said i should recheck - and "suddenly" it was working

good for you that you found the problem on your end

Well it's kinda low where I live, in Laval, city right north of Montréal, Québec, Canada.

Mind you, we have only the mid-range service, and truly, i really don't need anything more.

Did this test over a wireless connection so it`s not completely accurate, the advertised speed is 14432/800 (ADSL2) so the wlan ruins the resultst a bit, the ping suffers too.

Or would you answer, 'Never have I heard anything more divine?"
