M/B: ASRock Dual 939
RAM: 2gb Corsair XMS DDR400

i'd go with a samsung 750gb hd, not much more expensive but more bang for the buck and i just love those samsung drives and the corsair 750w model psu, 550w may be a little under powered for the 4870, i dono but the 750w doesn't cost much more...

Config looks sweet to me, I think you can get DDR2 1066MHz RAM instead of 800Mhz surely it wouldnt cost you much.

I'm also going to suggest a better PSU. 750W would cover any further upgrades down the road.

I also have had excellent service with Samsung HDDs. They rate very highly in about all benchmark tests and reviews right along with WD drives.

Agree with more powerful PSU. Or add a handmade PSU with relay just to support non board electrical consumption (fans, etc)

The next thing to me is the Price. one that I could never afford hehehe.

The E8400 is a very good CPU, don't get me wrong, but if you want more for your $ go AMD.
