This is absolutely true. Happened right here in the Atlanta, GA area where I live.
A few days ago Federal Agents broke up a counterfeiting setup they describe as one of the two most sophisticated they have ever seen in the USA. The only other one that comes close is one that was discovered in NY some time ago.
The young man who was making the phoney money is about 29 years old and was making the stuff with equipment setup in a Storage Rental unit.
The agents said it was very difficult to tell the difference between his $100s, $50s, and $20s from the real thing. He was THAT good.
His operation involved selling bundles of phoney bills "worth" $10,000 for $1000 in real cash. Then, he'd deposit the real stuff into his bank account.
Guess how he got caught?
